Satya Narain Pandey

“An Artist with Boundless Creativity”

Satya Narain Pandey is a renowned sculptor and the managing director of Pandey Moorti Bandhar, a name synonymous with exquisite artistry and craftsmanship. Born on August 18, 1959, into a family of artists and idol sculptors, Pandey carries art in his bloodline. His passion for sculpting emerged at a young age, so much so that he dropped out of school to follow in his father Shri Rameshwar Lal Pandey’s footsteps.

At the mere age of 15, he started working alongside his father, learning the intricacies of moorti-making. It was in the 1980s that his father recognized his immense potential, reassuring him that he could take their legacy forward, which became a turning point in his life.

With relentless hard work, he honed his skills, spending days and nights perfecting his art. His dedication helped him expand his father’s legacy, attracting prestigious clients such as Ram Janmabhoomi Ayodhya, ISKCON Temples, Hare Rama Hare Krishna Mandir, Swami Narayan Temple, and Reliance Industries.

One of the most profound milestones in his journey came when he was chosen as one of the three master sculptors to craft the sacred Ram Lalla idol. For eight months, he and his fellow artisans lived and worked there, dedicating themselves fully to this sacred task. With excellence of craftsmanship, they sculpted the idol by hand in record time, ensuring every detail reflected immense devotion and artistic brilliance. Carved from pure white marble, the idol exudes an aura of peace and divinity, captivating the soul and drawing millions to its sacred presence.

Through sheer determination and love for his art, he established a vast empire of artistry. Today, Pandey Marble Arts boasts two factories, two workshops, and three showrooms, with two located in Jaipur and one in Bengaluru. Over the years, his passion for preserving and promoting traditional craftsmanship led to the foundation of Pandey Moorti Bandhar, Pandey Moorti Kala Kendra, Pandey Exports, Pandey Marble Handicrafts, and Pandey Marble Industries. Under his leadership, the business is now being carried forward by its third generation, spreading the artistic heritage across national and international borders.

Beyond his professional achievements, Satya Narain Pandey is deeply involved in social work. He finds immense joy in mentoring budding artists and promoting the expansion of traditional art forms. Since 2013, he has held the esteemed position of President of Shri Adi Gaud Moortikar Brahmin Samaj Jaipur Sansthan, where he continues to work for the betterment of his community.

Through his mastery, mentorship, and vision, Satya Narain Pandey continues to inspire countless artists, leaving an indelible mark on the world of marble sculpting.
